2018 NEW YEAR'S FESTIVAL TOMTOM
Housed in the Red Building—which blends seamlessly with the historic fabric of Tomtom Designhood, the creative heart of Istanbul—these free-form installations, created especially for the New Year’s season, are an exploratory project that brings together the raw power of materials with the sparkle of the holiday spirit. Going beyond traditional New Year’s decorations, we’ve transformed paper and cardboard into artistic narrative tools in these works, adorning every corner of the space with unique worlds shaped by handcraft.
In our design concept, we used pure white snowflakes, massive floral forms, and geometric tree structures that contrasted with the building’s brutalist and historical details. Vertical installations that highlighted the interplay of light and paper invited visitors on a fairy-tale journey from the moment they entered the building. These installations, in which every petal and form was meticulously hand-shaped, allowed us—as part of our “free-form” discipline—to reflect our design identity through creativity unbound by limits.
At A! Ne Hoş Studio, we deepen our expertise in retail (visual merchandising), event design, and corporate installations through these types of artistic collaborations. We view paper not merely as a material, but as a storyteller; by blending sustainability with aesthetics, we create unique visual atmospheres that resonate with the spirit of brands and spaces. Our goal is to create inspiring “moments” within the urban fabric—moments where art and craftsmanship converge, leaving a lasting impression on people’s memories.
