2019 New Year's Tree Workshop at Kanyon Mall
Amid the enchanting New Year’s atmosphere at Kanyon Mall, we held an enjoyable workshop that brought guests together with art in the transparent dome area, which was specially prepared for the New Year’s events. During this creative workshop, which drew significant interest from mall visitors, we taught participants the basic techniques of paper engineering and gave them the opportunity to design their own New Year’s decorations.
In this dynamic 1.5-hour workshop, each participant freely chose color palettes that perfectly suited their personal taste. Following a meticulous process of cutting, folding, and assembling, the raw cardboard sheets were gradually transformed into three-dimensional, decorative geometric Christmas trees. Throughout this process, which highlighted their manual dexterity, guests not only spent time immersed in craftsmanship but also gave tangible form to the New Year’s excitement through an object they created themselves.
Set against the backdrop of Kanyon’s modern architecture and a touch of winter charm, this hands-on workshop—centered around wooden tables—offered participants the chance to step away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and take a creative break. At the end of the 1.5-hour session, seeing each guest leave the workshop happily with their own unique geometric tree designs—which they had crafted with their own hands and could display in the most beautiful corner of their homes—was the most valuable and rewarding outcome of our project.
