2021 Showcase 16.10, Istanbul
This window display we created for the Kadıköy store of 16.10—a brand known for its original jewelry designs inspired by Istanbul—is a conceptual installation that captures the neighborhood’s identity by drawing on both its underground heritage and the dusty pages of history. During the design process, chalcedony—one of Kadıköy’s symbols—and the Pervititch maps, which document the city’s historical fabric, served as our primary sources of inspiration.
By drawing parallels between the golden veins found in the characteristic structure of chalcedony and the ancient roads and street patterns depicted in Pervititch’s maps, we merged the neighborhood’s geological structure with its urban memory. We brought this conceptual foundation to life through paper engineering and layered cutting techniques, creating an abstract, multi-layered visual world rich in narrative. This layered structure rising within the display case serves as a rich backdrop for 16.10’s refined jewelry collections while inviting viewers to explore the different layers of Kadıköy.
A! Ne Hoş Studio combines the discipline of visual merchandising with an artistic narrative; we transform brands’ store windows from mere product display spaces into installation spaces that capture the spirit of both the neighborhood and the brand. Through these boutique projects, which highlight craftsmanship and local values, we continue to add intellectual and aesthetic depth to the retail experience.
