2022 Paşabahçe Ambiente Fair
For Paşabahçe’s booth at the Ambiente Fair—which sets global design trends—we created a very special project designed to showcase the brand’s tableware and serving products. To draw visitors’ attention to the products and enhance the presentation scenarios, we created life-size, food-themed paper props, all produced entirely by hand.
To bring the uses of the various product groups at the trade show booth to life, we drew inspiration from different corners of the culinary world. For seafood presentations, we used oysters and salmon slices; for breakfast and serving sets, fresh carrots, artichokes, and colorful vegetable baskets; and for cake stands and dessert presentations, we designed tiered cakes, macarons, cookies, and eclairs that looked just like the real thing. The handmade sushi sets we prepared for our modern, Far Eastern-inspired series were among the most eye-catching details among the props.
Created in their actual sizes and to exact scale, these food props were designed to create a contrast while maintaining a lightness that does not overshadow Paşabahçe’s mastery of glass craftsmanship and the transparency of its glass. By bringing the unique forms of paper art together with the dynamic atmosphere of the exhibition space, this project offered an opportunity to showcase the functionality of glassware through an artistic lens.
