FW22 MICHEL JEWELLERY
For this display case project we designed for Michel Jewelry, we focused on the natural origins of precious stones and developed a unique visual language inspired by the flora and ecosystems surrounding the mines where they were formed. Our goal was to create a holistic narrative that conveys the sense that jewelry is not merely a final product, but the result of nature’s millions of years of transformation.
A total of 7 panels, each featuring a different composition, were designed and arranged in 3 separate glass display cases. The flowers, botanical forms, and insect figures featured on the panels were created entirely from paper. These handcrafted details, while paying homage to the natural habitat of precious stones, created an organic and layered sense of depth within the display case.
One of the design’s distinctive features was the double-sided treatment of the panels. While a more graphic and two-dimensional aesthetic was chosen for the surfaces facing the interior, the surfaces facing outward created a three-dimensional, voluminous, and more dramatic effect. This approach transformed the display window into a dynamic stage that is experienced differently from both the inside and the outside, establishing a multi-layered visual dialogue with the viewer.
By balancing natural tones with vibrant accents reminiscent of precious stones in the color palette, the products were made to stand out. The flow of the composition was guided to complement the arrangement of the jewelry; while each panel tells its own independent story, together they form a powerful whole.
This project exemplifies our approach to window design—not merely as a display space, but as an experiential space that tells the brand’s story, captures attention, and fosters an emotional connection. Through the creative window display solutions we’ve developed for retail, jewelry, cosmetics, and lifestyle brands, we go beyond simply making brands visible within a space; we transform them into experiences.
